Overview
The benefits of living in southern California, one is able to ride on 2’s in the dead of winter. Never mind the astronomical cost of living here, threat of wildfires, earthquakes or mudslides. These are but trivial things compared to the glory and ability to ride on two wheels in January. Unless of course it is your home that shaken apart, set on fire and the rubble is washed away in a unforgiving landslide.
It has now just been over five months since my crash on my former VTX 1300. While my leg still gives me some grief, I am walking much better and able to ride without discomfort. I have been going on short rides like this one for a total of 198 Miles.
Started out in Lake Elsinore, CA, proceed East on CA-74 through Hemet, CA and the real ride actually began in the San Bernardino National Forest, through Mountain City, CA to Palm Desert, CA. Cheated and took I-10 to Banning, CA and then CA-243 south to Idyllwild, CA.
Here are links to the unedited videos on YouTube. I am improving on the video quality using my Go-pro Hero 5, however YouTube still downgrades the quality of the video considerably as compared to the original recording.
