VTX 1300C Officially Totaled

Well it is official, collected the checks from GEICO today for my 2004 VTX 1300C (Jolene) and my Shoei Helmet.  Jolene is now the salvaged property of GEICO.  Looking towards the future, I am thinking of replacing the VTX with a Harley Davidson Ultra Limited or possibly a Harley Davidson Road King.   I am still making up my mind and I have some time to ponder the topic as it’s going to be a bit until I am healed enough to ride.  Other items on the shopping list going forward include Rocker Revolution Riding Jeans with CE rated armor, Shoe Neotec Helmet, New gloves, and well just allot of gear lol.

Health Update:

Went to see the Orthopedic doc today but no real new solid news.  However, he did take some fresh x-rays and was not able to locate the fracture.  He said it looked more like only soft tissue damage.  However based on what the ER docs and my primary doc observed, he ordered a new MRI to get a closer fresh look at everything.  It is possible that the fracture in my upper Tibia is not as severe as first thought, will know more at the next appointment on Thursday.

Even if the vast majority of the damage is soft tissue only, it will still take me a couple of months minimum to heal up.  And considering the possible alternatives to a motorcycle crash, I am not complaining and will gladly take it.
