So, I am starting a blog.  Obviously I felt that the world was incomplete without the content of my random thoughts and wanderlust travels properly documented in a medium other than Facebook which is near impossible for me to search and thereby reflect back and admire my own greatness…..or something like that.  My Wanderlust spirit has not been fed as often as I would liked or hoped.  However, I plan to start increasing my motorcycle trips soon.  I plan to use this blog primarily to document my motorcycle travels as I have set the goal to have ridden all 50 states before I degrade into fertilizer.

The next (first) long trip is planned for September 2017 riding solo from San Diego, California to Minneapolis, Minnesota via scenic route.  This trip will head north through California to the Ave of the Giants among the Redwoods, then cut east through the Nevada Desert (this will be all slab interstate), Salt Lake City, Utah, wind trough Wyoming, South Dakota and onto Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Return trip will take me through Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and back home in California.

My big once in a lifetime trip I am planning will occur around 2027 (ten years from now) from Tampa, Florida to Anchorage, Alaska.  Between now and then, I will be taking other motorcycle trips like the one to Minnesota as part of riding and exploring all 50 states and a few Provinces.  I may or may not embark on a Mexico trip, I am not brave enough to go solo or in a very small group just because of everything that has gone on there.
